Allison + Erik and great Key Hall weddings
Because of the great industrial history of our region, there are so many spaces which cater to weddings that are unique and different from a traditional wedding venue.
Key Hall weddings can be bold and dramatic, held in a unique setting in the revitalized, up and coming downtown area of Schenectady.
Allison and Erik had their ceremony in the beautiful, traditional St Stanislaus Church in Amsterdam. Then we headed to downtown Schenectady for some portrait time with the two of them as well as some fun and relaxed wedding party photos in the same downtown area.
And you needn’t be afraid of a wedding late in the year. We made some beautiful outdoor photos at this November wedding! The light can often be great at this time of year as the sun doesn’t reach that harsh, high overhead position like it does in the summer. It’s lower, softer, friendlier, especially for someone experienced as a natural light wedding photographer.
Remember though that you want a photographer with depth and experience, one who can use not only natural light but one who can bring extensive lighting skills to the fast paced wedding day!
Later in the day we went inside for some wedding photos in Proctor’s theater right next door. There are so many beautiful places to take couple’s portraits in the historic theater.
